Walking with the River

Within The World Is for Everyone, we began with an invitation: to walk together, to listen deeply and to let the river guide our way. Creative facilitators Anna Ball and Margaret Ravenscroft led participants on a river-walking workshop that slowed the pace of our everyday lives. Along the banks, we recorded voices, ambient sounds, reflections—responding to gentle prompts designed to open space for noticing, remembering.

Taking these fragments of conversation, water, wind and footsteps Anna Ball collaborated with Dr Andrew Brown, shaped them into a collective sound poem that holds the currents of many lives and ways of belonging. Shared through public readings by the Pamoja Women Together group, the work further flowed outward.

Listen to the sound poem: River Walk.
